15 youth held in Old City during clashes | KNO

Police on Friday detained fifteen youths during stone-throwing clashes in Nawa Kadal area of Old City here. Official sources told news agency GNS that post-Friday clashes erupted at Nawa Kadal area of old city today between youth and government forces. Police used dozens of teargas shells to disperse hundreds of youths in the area. As the clashes intensified, scores of police and CRPF men cornered youth from multiple sides and detained fifteen youths on the spot. The sources said that among the 15 youth, one is a resident of Banihal and all of the detained persons have been lodged in Safa Kadal police station. (GNS)
